Garrett Fails

Garrett Fails is running for Middletown Township Council for District 2. He is committed to serving the community's needs and challenging the status quo with efficient, evidence-based solutions.

As Chief Information Security Officer at a Philadelphia-based cybersecurity consultancy, Garrett has worked with Fortune 50, 100, and 500 companies to identify operational security gaps and build solutions tailored to their specific organizational needs. He is also a founding member of BSidesPhilly, a nonprofit supporting local computer security professionals to gather and share knowledge.

A 7-year Middletown resident and Drexel University alumnus, Garrett lives with his wife and two young daughters. As an Eagle Scout and avid outdoors enthusiast, he advocates for preserving green spaces, improving walkability, and expanding public spaces for community gatherings. He is dedicated to preventing Middletown from becoming another strip-mall suburb.

As a successful professional and volunteer organizer, Garrett is a committed community builder. He firmly believes that the Township Council should make decisions that prioritize residents' needs over business interests. He advocates against unnecessary industrial development and pledges to ensure township codes are consistent and resident-focused, making him an ideal candidate for the Township Council.
