Nancy Server is running for Chester Heights Borough Council to serve as a voice for her neighbors and better protect the natural beauty of the neighborhood. A Board-Certified Music Therapist with her own private practice, Nancy has the professional experiences, business acumen, and specialized skills needed to listen to the community and bring the neighborhood’s diverse viewpoints together to create a better Borough.
Nancy’s professional background makes her the ideal person to listen to the varied viewpoints in Chester Heights Borough, find common ground, and deliver the progress that the residents want. Whether the issue concerns traffic, safety, or the environment, Nancy will approach it with her characteristic professionalism and instinct for collaboration gained from her experience. In her private practice as a therapist, Nancy focuses on helping seniors through health challenges and assisting adults facing important life transitions. She has served as a facilitator for support groups for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and continues to support caregivers of aging parents. Her propensity to listen and develop solutions to complex problems make her an asset to our community and would make her an asset on Chester Heights Borough Council.
Nancy believes in preserving Chester Heights’s beautiful surroundings and land, protecting its wildlife, minimizing the ever-growing traffic that crosses through the Borough to other locations. She will listen to what our longtime residents want, understand why our new neighbors moved here, and will do what it takes to ensure people want to stay. She is prepared to bring the community together towards these goals.
Nancy holds two graduate degrees from Immaculata University (IU), where she has served as an Adjunct Professor. She has developed various music therapy programs and supervises undergraduate and graduate interns and practicum students for both IU and Temple University. Her wide range of skills has led her both into business and back to higher education.
Nancy has a rich background in community service to Delaware County, having served on the Boards for the Unity Center in Chester and for DCP Theatre in Telford. She is married to Ray Thompson, the Assistant Principal at Chester High School. Nancy and Ray have a furry family of two cats and one German Shepherd and have lived in the Borough for fifteen years.
